First off, laptops do overheat faster than desktops (also referred to as PC's), because their fans don't run all the time. But this can be remedied by getting a coolpad (a laptop pad with fans in it). Search "coolpad". If you don't carry your laptop very many places, laptops aren't more vulnerable than desktops.

I personaly have a lap top and use it for games about 80% of the time. They are fine to play games on. As far as over heating, make sure the fan is not blocked and you shouldn't have a problem.

I graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a degree in Instructional Systems Technology and we studied video games and their impact on children and young adults. One the major video game manufactures (Lucas Arts) creates several educational video games. Many of their games may not appear to be educational but researchers have said many of their Star Wars games are beneficial to hand-eye coordination, problem solving, and team work.

You can view the Lucas Arts web site at http://www.lucasarts.com.

There is none. I don't quite know why you reformatted, that does not change your unique computer ID. A new computer might, do it. Not sure what information your Ip sends out when you are online. I used to have a server and the only way a player could get back in was to apologize. Depending on what they did, they may have got one more chance.
